Andrzej Ziemia ski ( 17. Februar 1960 in Breslau) ist ein polnischer Schriftsteller der Gattung Science-Fiction. Ziemia ski absolvierte 1983 die Architektur-Fakultät an der Technischen Hochschule Breslau. In den Jahren 1984 bis 1985 war er dort beschäftigt, von 1985 bis 2005 am Institut für das Bauwesen der Breslauer Landwirtschaftsakademie (Akademia Rolnicza we Wroc awiu). Ziemia ski debütierte 1979 in der Zeitschrift Sigma der TH Breslau mit der Novelle Zak ad zamkni ty. 1981 gewann er einen Preis für das Drehbuch eines Hörspiels für den regionalen Rundfunksender Polskie Radio Wroc aw, wegen der Ausrufung des Kriegsrechts in Polen wurde das Hörspiel nie verwirklicht. 1985 veröffentlichte er die Novellensammlung Daimonion.

Ossoli skich (ZNiO, National Ossoli ski Institute) a meritorious department for Polish science and culture (until 1939 it combined a Library, Publishing House and the Lubomirski Museum), which was founded for the Polish Nation in 1817 by Józef Maksymilian Ossoli ski, and was opened in 1827 in Lviv. It was one of the most important Polish culture centres, since it had an extremely rich library collection, which was the second in the country when it comes to its size after the Jagiellonian Library. Incomes form the land estates of its founder, managed for life by its curators, became the livelihood of the Institute.

He was the castellan of Kalisz starting in 1618, he became the voivode of Be z in 1620, and the starost of Hrubieszów in 1633. He was extensively educated in law, humanities, theology, military science, natural sciences, and even studied under Galileo. He also traveled over much of Europe. Rafa started his political career in the Sejmik of the Sandomierz Voivodeship. He was an opponent of king Sigismund III Vasa, but he never rose up in open rebellion, like the members of Zebrzydowski's Rebellion did. He was Protestant, and was a defender of Protestant rights and religious tolerance in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, dedicating most of his political influence to matters of religion. He provided shelter for Czech brethren and refugees from Silesia during the Thirty Years' War. He sponsored many new Protestant churches and schools, and developed existing ones, like the school in Leszno, under Czech pedagogue Jan Amos Kome ski. He was called the "Pope of Calvinists in Poland."
